Travel to Batumi from Tbilisi by train! The journey takes around five hours with only two stops in Ureki and Kobuleti. The trains are modern and comfortable, with free wi-fi.
Tickets are sold online on tkt.ge. Note that it is not possible to buy the ticket before a couple of weeks prior to departure. Ist class is recommended (60 lari one way Tbilisi-Batumi). Show your ticket and passport when you board the train.
The railway station in Batumi is situated in the outskirts of the city; it’s approximately 10 minutes by taxi to the center.
