Batumi Botanical garden

Batumi Botanical garden is located 9 km north of Batumi on the Green Cape, overlooking the Black Sea. It occupies an area of 7 hectars. The park is divided into specialized sections, such as the Australian section, North American, Mexican, East Asian, Himalyan, Colchis Forest reserve. To see most of the park it’s recommended to take a ride on the small electric train some part of the route.

Batumi Botanical garden has a long history. The oldest rare trees in the botanical garden are more than 125 years old. The upper park was initiated in 1892 as the “Acclimatization Garden” and later included into the Botanical garden that opened in 1912.
