Travel to Batumi from Tbilisi by train! The journey takes around five hours with only three stops in Kopitnari (Kutaisi international airport), Ureki and Kobuleti. The trains are modern and comfortable, with free wi-fi.
Tickets are sold online on Georgian railway tickets or tkt.ge. Note, that it is not possible to buy the ticket before a couple of weeks prior to departure. Ist class is recommended (75 lari one way Tbilisi-Batumi). Show your ticket and passport when you board the train.
The railway station in Batumi is situated in the outskirts of the city; it’s approximately 10 minutes’ ride by taxi to the center.
